Week 2, Day 2
Monday of week 2 was a little “off day” adventure to a game park – Nakuru National Park. We didn’t see any lions or leopards but it was a beautiful day and there were lots of animals to see. The tops on our vans popped up so that you could stand in the open air to look and take pictures. We saw gazelle, eland (world’s largest antelope), monkey’s, baboons (the world’s most indecent creature – it really should wear clothing - ’nuff said), cape buffalo, water buck (arguably one of the ugliest creatures in the world), rhinoceros, zebra, hyrax (one of the noisiest creatures I’ve heard – at night, all night, it sounds like a screaming adult – I do a pretty good imitation if you want to hear it), and I’m sure some others that I didn’t know. On the way back we saw several of those little three-wheeled taxis. Here are a few pics:
