There are so many things you learn about when you have children. For instance, I never knew the word bilirubin until we had our first child. When your child is jaundiced, all that matters is the bilirubin count. Victoria was jaundiced, now Ellie. It’s pretty common in small infants. Until today, her bilirubin count was climbing. Today, it dropped a little. If it hadn’t we would have been back in the hospital. So, this has been the scene at our house for the past two days. Indirect sunlight is the best thing for jaundice.
Victoria came in from the pool, put on some dry clothes, and lay down for a nap next to Ellie. The oldest and the youngest. A picture of peace.
If her count goes up on Monday she’ll have to go into the hospital. Please pray that it continues to drop.
