what were you doing yesterday?

Not reading GodSeeker.  I haven’t had that low of a day in months.  You were voting and glued to the T.V. all day weren’t you?  It’s kind of addictive.  I’m not going to say much about it today because, ultimately, my trust is not in a man, but in God – the King of kings and Lord of lords.  Here’s what His Word says about who’s in control:

First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
1 Timothy 2:1-2

He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
Daniel 2:21

For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.
God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.
The nobles of the nations assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, for the kings of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.
Psalm 47:7-9

All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him.
Psalm 72:11

We know who’s in charge.  When talking about God, I like the word “Sovereign.”  How about you?
