One thing I love about the apostle Paul, he was not afraid to be real and open. Vulnerable. He opened up his life for all to see. Even when it came to discussing his weaknesses.
If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 2 Corinthians 11:30
Why can’t we all be that bold? We should be. We should be able to confess our weaknesses to one another so that we can pray for and encourage one another toward godliness in love! But that takes two things: the courage to share and the love to receive. There has to be a safe place to share. A place that looks at one another in love through the eyes of Christ. A place where weakness confessed is for the purpose growing and not returning. To encourage in confidence and not tear down. This is the place of grace. The place of love. This should be the body of Christ.
Now, let’s go and love. Be the safe place. Look on others through the eyes of Jesus. See who they are or could be in Christ and love them towards that end.
That’s what I want and through Christ, that’s what I want to give. Lord help me to be that place.
